DSLR-A100 for firmware update and Image Data Converter SR Ver. 1.1 update program
IMPORTANT NOTICEThank you for your continued interest in Sony products.
For owners of Sony a (pronounced alpha) DSLR-A100 Digital Single-Lens Reflex cameras, we are offering a firmware update as well as an update program for Image Data Converter SR Ver1.1. Since a mistake in implementing the update may lead to malfunctions, please read the download instructions carefully.

[Improvement of firmware]
Applicable version: Ver. 1.00 and 1.01
How to check the version number is written in the download page. The firmware update is to:
- Address the symptom that in very rare cases, RAW format files may not be opened by the supplied image control software, Picture Motion Browser;
- Improve image gradation when the shutter speed is 1 sec or longer; and
- Improve printed picture quality when the image is printed by Epson(R) printer under PRINT Image Matching.

The update program is to:
- Add a feature to address the symptom that in very rare cases, RAW format files recorded by DSLR-A100 (with original firmware) may not be opened with Picture Motion Browser.; and
- Support indication of new lens information.
